"Fewer tourists visit Lanta during green season. I suppose that’s a draw for many who come here at this time of year. That said, plenty of shops and restaurants are open. And beaches are almost deserted. It’s easy to claim a prime spot of sand.
Anyway, back to the villa. For us the best features were the outdoor patio and the saltwater pool. Also, we could walk to restaurants and other amenities at the beach and the main road. The villa’s central location made it easy to drive by motorbike to the north and south sections of the island.
C6 is tastefully decorated in a tropical Thai motif. Furniture throughout is solid and nice to look at. There are three bedrooms, two of which have double beds. The living room has a comfortable sofa and flatscreen TV. You watch movies or plug in a USB stick to look at your photos. A shelf is stacked with Swedish-language books. In the kitchen you can cook basic meals like pasta, fried eggs, sandwiches, etc. without too much fuss. Usually we made breakfast and lunch. Trying to whip up more elaborate meals might prove challenging given the small kitchen space. But remember, you’re in Thailand: You’re supposed to dine out.
We spent most of our time outdoors. The patio next to the pool was our favourite place to be, day or night. It can get hot during the day, but you can plug in a fan. The wi-fi was strong enough to reach outside, so if you have to work at least you can do it outdoors!
Oh – if you like cats (we do) – a friendly black and white one might show up to keep you company. She looks like she catches her own meals."
